Welcome

I enjoyed our time together and want to share some thoughts and resources on how you can get the most out of AI.  If you, your teams, or your clients are interested in taking the next step, I'll love to talk.  Drop me a line at: matt@the-prompt.ai.

Summary

AI has the potential to reshape the speaking profession, creating opportunities to amplify your impact while staying authentically human. Key takeaways from the session:

  • Stay Relevant: Focus on trust-building, emotional intelligence, and storytelling—qualities AI can’t replicate.

  • Streamline Your Work: Use AI tools like Jasper for content creation, OpusClip for social media, and AI-driven automation for scheduling and transcription.

  • Unlock New Value: Personalize keynotes with audience insights, repurpose talks into blogs or videos, and engage audiences with 24/7 support tools like branded chatbots.

  • Start Small, Build Confidence: Experiment with AI for brainstorming, analyzing feedback, or optimizing workflows.

  • Embrace the Human-AI Partnership: AI enhances your capabilities, but empathy, creativity, and authenticity remain your superpowers.

At The Prompt, we provide AI advisory services for executives and their teams.  This includes 1:1 coaching, a range of workshops, and AI assessment services.

Bottom Line: As a top speaker, AI amplifies your value—it doesn’t replace it. Start experimenting today to unlock its full potential in your speaking practice.

Here are the LLMs and ChatBots we discussed

  • ChatGPT4 (OpenAI) -- This is my main LLM / Foundation model.  If you could only pick one, this is the one.

  • Claude (Anthropic) -- Many consider it the best LLM for writing.

  • Perplexity -- this is the leading AI site for research.  It's very worth checking out when you want to cite research.

  • NotebookLM (Google) -- the automatic podcast generation with two speakers is drawing a lot of attention.  This, and similar technologies, has the potential to make it much easier for non-technical audiences to access large amounts of information.

  • Copilot (Microsoft)

  • Gemini (Google)

Content Creation & Marketing Tools

These tools specialize in creating marketing copy, visual content, videos, and multimedia assets for social media, presentations, and campaigns.

Meeting & Collaboration Tools

These tools improve productivity by summarizing, transcribing, and organizing insights from meetings and discussions.

  • Fathom -- A meeting assistant that records, transcribes, and summarizes key discussion points, making collaboration seamless.

  • Otter.ai - A transcription and meeting productivity tool that captures notes and action items in real-time.

Companies We Discussed (Or would have if we had more time)

Companies we discussed in the presentation:

  • Yoodli- Improve your communication skills with private, real-time, and judgment-free coaching — powered by AI. Like Grammarly, but for speech!

  • Napkin.ai -- I just came across this company this week.  They do a fantastic job of creating engaging business graphics from your text.

A word or two about AGENTS

An AI agent is a smart tool that uses artificial intelligence to handle tasks, make decisions, and solve problems autonomously. It’s transforming how businesses operate by automating workflows, improving efficiency, and providing valuable insights.

I firmly believe that in the future, there will be two types of companies: those that leverage AI agents to stay competitive and those left behind. Professionals who embrace this technology can streamline operations, scale faster, and deliver better customer experiences, while others risk falling behind in a rapidly evolving market.

The advantage of having a small, flexible team is the ability to update workflows quickly, adopting AI tools without the institutional inertia that often slows down larger businesses.

If you're willing to jump in, I suggest you listen to Nicholas Thompson's new podcast, The Most Interesting Thing in AI,  in which he interviews Andrew Ng.  It's entertaining and direct.  They have a clear discussion about AI agents and what may come with agential workforces.  If you don't know Andrew Ng, he's a soft-spoken godfather of AI.  And, Nichlas Thompson does an amazing job explaining tech in an accessible way.  LISTEN HERE.

  • One of my favorite voices on agents is Jeremiah Owyang who can be found on Linkedin

  • Google's article on Agents is appropriately titled "Agents". LINK

    • This whitepaper by Google explores Generative AI agents, which combine language models with external tools and cognitive architectures to perform real-world, autonomous tasks like retrieving information, executing actions, and reasoning iteratively. Aimed at developers and organizations, it provides practical guidance on building scalable agents using frameworks like ReAct and platforms like Vertex AI for diverse, complex applications.
